Our team used an electrical outlet tester and discovered the reading of “122 VAC” and the warning “OPEN GRD.”
The “OPEN GRD” warning indicates that the outlet’s grounding connection is missing or disconnected. A properly grounded outlet is critical for safety as it protects users and connected devices from potential electrical faults, such as surges or shorts. Without a proper ground, there is an increased risk of electric shock or damage to equipment.
